A beautiful and rare art nouveau silver plated belt. It has seventeen square plaques and a larger plaque with a hook for fastening. Each plaque has a central sunflower surrounded by swirling stems and leaves in the free flowing style so typical of the art nouveau period. Every small plaque is stamped EPNS with a makers and date mark. This antique belt is a collectors item and would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
It measures 69cms (27") in length.
In good antique condition. We have not cleaned this belt and the colour looks more of a pale gold-tone because of wear to the plating and with marks to a couple of the plaques, an amazing antique belt.
