This is an extremely unusual genuine vintage 60s rounded hat. The body of the hat is made from nylon mesh and onto this is sewn 5cm (2") wide strips of quite stiff decorative mesh ribbon, these are sewn down the middle forming two 2.5cm (1") strips which lie slightly on their side and are sewn to form a wavey, pleated effect from the centre crown down to the brim. Inside is unlined and it has a black, lacey look, elastic inner band. A quirky vintage hat.
The inner band measures 54cm (21") in circumference.
