What a find! This cute little genuine vintage faux snakeskin box contains a set of twelve little 1930s silver charms attached with silver clips. They could be for a childs charm bracelet and was possibly a travelling sales rep's box. Each clip which is attached to each charms jump ring is stamped with the German crescent moon and crown mark which represents the entire German State and 835S, the decimal silver mark and a shield with the letters WL which is the makers mark for Lutz & Weiss, Pforzheim founded in 1882. A superb selection which includes a lucky chimney sweep, a lucky four leaf clover, rocking horse, a darling duck, mushroom, two dogs, frog, clown with a hoop, pig, cute ladybird and what I think is a woodpecker. They are unused and perfect. A rare and highly collectable item.
The box measures 13cms (5") across, 7cms (2.75") deep and 2.5cms (1") high. The duck measures approx. 1.5cms (0.5") across and high.
The charms are in excellent unused condition. The box is in very good condition with just one scrape mark to the top.
